The Giotto Postural Lab includes a single-unit, global posture assessment frame and platform, and a desktop structure with a photographic unit for image acquisition.
It is an ideal unit for assessment and analysis of the patient’s global posture in the frontal, sagittal and transverse planes. This unit can be easily upgraded to later include our stabilometric testing platform for analysis of dynamic posture control and balance.
Measurements can be made directly on the acquired images and identification labels can be connected to each individual measurement. These labels with results and their normative interpretation can be saved on the images, recalled later, displayed in a patient report and exported digitally for processing in research. This allows you to determine and monitor incorrect posture patterns and their risk for injury or disorders. Following therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercise or other corrective actions, improvements to these postural deviations can be recorded and monitored.
Being able to conclude every global posture examination with an extensive patient report with results and comparison of data and images at different moments during rehabilitation is of paramount importance and benefit. Moreover, each measurement and result can be reported in relation to preset tolerance levels, so that it is clear whether particular aspects of global posture lie within acceptable normative levels or not.
GPS Postural Lab global posture examinations are completely non-invasive and can therefore be repeated whenever necessary.
